A few weeks ago, we encountered a cat invasion 🙂 Screened porch’s door had been left open and the cats realized this mistake. There were more than a dozen hungry intruders that day 🙂
And if you are wondering how we learnt about this invasion; my dad called me that night and told me the amount of the cat food in the container decreased considerably and asked me to check the security camera footage to see who left the door open and how long it stayed open. So that’s how we came to know about this.

We’ve all had those days when we just don’t want to get out of bed. However, some people take cocooning to an entirely different level, in fact, you might find this list to be a bit shocking. There are hermits and then there are people who can’t leave a certain residence behind no matter what. The following are twenty stubbornest people who have just refused to leave their homes.
– Ring Road Around A Block Of Flats
– The holdout farm in the middle of a Japanese airport
– The four-lane highway that was built around two apartment blocks after residents refused to move
– The Chinese highway built around a farm
– The House Of Austin Spriggs
– Salah Oudjani Refuses To Sell The Coffee House
– Gate Tower Building in Osaka
– St. Joseph Catholic Church in San Antonio
– The Chinese man’s home that ended up at the bottom of a giant pit after he refused to sell it
– Randal Acker Refused To Sell His House
– Edith Macefield
– Mary Cook
– Vera Coking
– Melbourne House
– Toronto Duplex
– Gothic-Inspired Townhouse
– Living Under A Bridge
– The Founders Of This Hotel Couldn’t Buy These Houses
– A Lone Resident Holds Out Against Luxury Villas
– One Chinese Family Refused To Move Their Relatives’ Ancient Graves

Why is your cat sad or mad at you? If your cat isn’t happy, no one in the house is allowed to be either. Sometimes we cat owners, with all our affection and loyalty, actually do more harm than good. At least that’s what we recently learned, and we’re here to spread the message!
Did you know, for example, that most cats just hate strangers? They see any other creatures of their kind as competition for food, toys, and love. Or have you ever noticed they don’t like belly rubs? A cat’s stomach is its most vulnerable area, and protecting it is a basic instinct. So be gentle and respectful!
Don’t smother them with love 0:33
Don’t ignore them 1:26
Don’t clip their nails 2:26
They don’t like belly rubs 3:11
Never make them take a bath 3:56
Don’t take them for a ride 4:37
Keep them away from loud noises 5:33
Don’t dress them up 6:00
They don’t need your hair-styling services 6:27
They just hate strangers 6:56
Don’t meow at them 7:53
– Cats feel insecure when you pick them up and being hugged is like being trapped to them. It can easily cause stress or aggression, so think twice before expressing love the human way!
– If you don’t give your little one the attention or food they want when they want it, be prepared for constant meowing or pawing at your leg. Cats have their own schedule that you’ll never really understand, and they like to be the one to decide when it’s “play with human” time.
– Some cats are okay with their human clipping their nails, but most won’t have any of it! It’s an incredibly risky procedure, and their post-surgery wounds can easily get infected.
– It’s a universal truth that cats, with maybe a few rare exceptions, despise water. You see, your house cat’s ancestors lived in Europe, Africa, and China, where they weren’t exposed to much water. So, they didn’t have to learn how to deal with it.
– Cats are extremely territorial, and “your” home is actually your cat’s. And cats don’t like to leave their little kingdom, so a car ride can be emotionally stressful as well.
– You might love 4th of July fireworks, but your cat – not so much. They don’t like any loud noises, whether it be honking cars, the vacuum, hair dryer, and so on.
– Cats are way more like their ancestors that lived in the wild. Those kitties clearly didn’t like feeling something against their fur, restricting their freedom of movement.
– If you see knots or mats in your kitty’s hair, definitely get rid of those. You’ll save your cat from the pain and other nasty things that come with knots, such as fleas, ticks, and rashes.
– Even though cats meow at humans and not other cats, they don’t expect you to meow back! But if you try to meow back, your kitty will be really confused.
One day, I heard a kitten meowing on the street. When I called him, he immediately ran to me.
Here is the latest update on this kitten’s situation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f7qr1s0K5k8
All the details are written in the video. Here is a copy of all the texts that are written in the video:
“On October 31, 2017
I heard a constant meowing sound on the street.
The sound was coming from under the dumpsters.
When I walked towards the dumpsters, a dirty kitten appeared.
He was alone and he started running to me when I called him.
He didn’t say no to some food.
I searched the street but I couldn’t see his mother or any siblings.
Even the neighbours hadn’t seen this kitten before.
And considering his dirtiness, it looked like he was alone
for some time. I took him to the vet. She said that he was around
2-2.5 months old. First, they gave him a bath because he was very
dirty and had lots of fleas on him. Then they cleaned his eyes.
The vet gave him some medication for internal and external
parasites. I couldn’t take him home at that time so he stayed
at the clinic for three days and during that time, he was
treated with antibiotic eye drops. Three days later, I went back
to the clinic and he was very excited to go out.
There is an old lady in our neighbourhood who takes care of
a lot of cats in her house. I talked to her about this kitten
and she agreed to take him in.
Now he has a home and a lot of friends to play with
once they get used to each other.”
When three of your favorite clients are moving across the country, there’s only one thing to do, and that’s to throw a goodbye party that shows them how much they are loved. These beautiful dogs are moving to the east coast of Canada with their people and the veterinary clinic staff who have cared for them are going to miss them terribly.brTeelo, Riggs, and Clicquot are Vizslas, a type of pointer-retriever. They are energetic and lovable, but when they first started coming to the Sherbrooke Heights Animal Hospital in Peterborough, they were full of anxiety about the clinic and about being examined.brbrTheir owners, Eva and Chris worked very hard, along with the staff at the hospital, to make a trip to the veterinarian a more enjoyable experience. They brought their dogs to the clinic for visits in conjunction with trips to other fun places. The dogs were lavished with love and affection, along with treats, and they were allowed to wander through the clinic and then leave, without ever being subjected to unpleasant experiences.brbrThe dogs soon learned to associate a trip to the vet with all things positive, and now, even being examined or receiving an injection is a small concern for them when they have so many other reasons to be happy during their visit.brbrDr. Kristy Hiltz and her staff love animals as much as anyone, and they were more than happy to get a visit from these three gorgeous dogs. They liked the attention just as much, and the dogs and their people soon became part of the family.brbrAfter witnessing such a change in the dogs’ behavior, Eva commented that one of the hardest parts about leaving their home in Peterborough would be having to say goodbye to the veterinary staff that had bonded with their entire family. After hearing this, the staff decided that it was only fitting that they be sent off with one more happy memory. They threw a goodbye party, complete with a cake made especially for dogs. Dr. Kristy cooked a cake with layers of rice, sweet potato, chicken and a few other vegetables. She even lined the edge with jerky strips. The result was something that looked like a typical people cake, but with all the nutrition and taste that would make a dog’s mouth water.brbrWhen Eva and Chris came to the clinic, they were brought to the back where the staff and treats were waiting. Following their noses, the dogs knew instantly that they were in for something special. It was an emotional moment for all as they enjoyed their final hospital visit.brbrTeelo, Riggs, and Clicquot devoured their cake and ran around to all of the staff, soaking up some love and saying their goodbyes. With full bellies and happy memories, they are off to experience life in Maritime Canada. Eva, Chris, and their dogs will never be forgotten.

Food and water is very scarce in the semi-desert of Karoo national park, but nevertheless there are many animals who survive.
When you visit the park you will see mountain zebra, oryx, common eland, red hartebeest, kudu, ostriche, springbok and with a bit luck the elusive black rhino and lions. There are two loops for 2wd cars and more for 4wd.
Nat Geo Wild () Battle FOR The PRIDE || HD
Botswana is home to the largest male lions on the planet but only 1 out of 8 males ever make it to adulthood. Lion cubs start their life vulnerable and weak and threats come from all sides. It takes years to learn all the skills they will need to become an apex predator and they must overcome many challenges, in order to survive. Understanding pride politics is a vital first lesson. Watching and learning everything from their family, young lions practice their killer moves on each other before moving on to prey. Within a couple of years they become strong, independent hunters, helping to feed the pride, but for some their days are numbered. Once fully grown, females become pride queens, taking their place at the side of the adult lionesses, but males are banished, no longer tolerated by the dominant male. They must learn to fend for themselves, out in no-man’s land, and no-man’s land is a dangerous place. Being part of a brotherhood gives them strength which they would not have alone. Together they can try to win themselves a new pride but there can only be one king
During my trip to South Africa I had the chance to spend over two weeks in the African bush. I visited five different safari camps, four were in Sabi Sands and the Klaserie Nature Reserve. The fifth one is located in the Gondwana Game Reserve. Here are the top 5 safari camps to visit in South Africa.
Umkumbe Safari Lodge is located just outside the iconic Kruger National Park, in the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. Umkumbe is considered to be one of the best wildlife viewing regions in all of South Africa. Their incredible lodge boasts 9 rooms offering guests comfort and luxury while still having the real “African” experience. Enjoy air-conditioning, indoor/outdoor bathrooms, full mosquito netting in all rooms, a pool, fitness center and a number of other amenities, plus some amazing outdoor dining and lounge areas with stunning views of the surrounding wildlife.
Africa on Foot in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve just outside of Kruger National Park. A 5-room stay, this boutique camp can accommodate up to 14 people with some excellent living quarters and incredible daily excursions. Africa on Foot can accommodate all sorts of travelers, including families with young children. Private, specialized walks are available for those who might be too young to enjoy the normal, scheduled walks and drives. One the coolest and most unique outdoor packages, book a stay at Africa on Foot the next time you’re in South Africa for an experience that you’ll never forget!
nDutzi Safari Camp inside the Klaserie Game Reserve is a small four-room (8 person maximum) safari camp, this memorable stay provides guests an intimate safari experience in an untouched corner of the greater Kruger National Park. Comfortable, personalized rooms and a relaxed lodging atmosphere are balanced by a vast & wild private reserve, where guests can spot some of Africa’s most incredible wildlife. For travelers looking to have a nearly private safari experience in an intimate setting, a stay at the nDutzai Safari Camp in Klaserie Game Reserve is an absolute must!
nThambo Tree Camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve, an area situated in the heart of the Kruger National Park. The location provides Big Five safaris and walking safaris, offering guests the chance to admire hippos, giraffes, zebras and a variety of birds. nThambo Tree Camp prefers to have an open camp to allow animals to pass through unlike other parks that fence animals out. Their mission is to bring people closer to nature, which is why it isn’t a mere a “hotel in the bush,” but rather a way to have an authentic bush experience.
Kwena Lodge inside the Gondwana Game Reserve is only 4 hours from Cape Town and a half hour from Mossel Bay, this conveniently located 11,000-hectare reserve is a fantastic place to catch some of the region’s most iconic animals. Kwena Lodge can accommodate all sorts of travelers with their 13 huts (suitable for two) and 13 villas (four to eight people), so no matter what size of group visiting, there’s bound to be room for all.
For those looking to go on safari, Kwena offers game drives (where everything from the Big 5 to Endangered Black Rhinos & Cape Mountain Zebras can be spotted) as well as game walks and junior ranger programs (perfect for children.) With a moderate climate for most of the year, beaches, shark cage diving and other big attractions just nearby, Kwena Lodge/Gondwana Game Reserve is an unforgettable experience and convenient stop off for anyone traveling through South Africa.
We hope you enjoyed the top 5 safari camps to visit in South Africa!

Animals Like Us : Animal Emotions – Wildlife Documentary
The study of animal behavior leaves little room for emotional-related explanations. Feelings in animals tend to be presented as functional explanations of behavior in a given situation. The notion of emotion has been completely overlooked, especially in the sixties, at the peak of animal experimentation, since it was easier to deny animal feelings like sadness or suffering, to guiltlessly carry out all sorts of tests. Recognizing the existence of animal feelings implies moral obligations. Things however are changing… and many scientists who study animal behavior are paying more and more attention to emotions. But how could it be otherwise? To better understand a behavior we need to compare it to an already seen already and understood situation. And what could better help us understand a specific behavior than our own experience, our own behavior and our own emotions.

Sage is a sweet 6 month old kitten rescued from an animal shelter in central California.
She hid for the first couple of weeks under one dresser where her food and water was kept there for her, and she would creep out when no one was around to use the litterbox. Finally one day she realized it was safe and decided to stop hiding, became a loving lap kitten, started play, and watching birds.
She is spayed and currently available for adoption.

10 Unique Animals You Won’t Believe Exist
10 strange and amazing animals that you have probably never heard of. Nature is truly full of surprises!
We live in the twenty-first century, and all continents have already been discovered, all secrets of our planet revealed, all mountain peaks conquered. Just when you think you have seen it all, some new bizarre creature makes an appearance instantly restoring your faith in the impossible!
Mangalitsa Pig, a.k.a. “a pig in sheep’s clothing” 0:50
Rhinopithecus or golden snub-nosed monkey 1:33
Emperor tamarin 2:13
Patagonian Mara 3:04
Fluffy cow 3:52
Markhor Goat 4:44
Raccoon dog 5:23
Blue Footed Booby 6:25
Malayan Colugo 7:13
Venezuelan Poodle Moth 8:09
– The birthplace of this curly-haired pig is Hungary where it was discovered in the mid-19th century. Due to the fleece covering this animal, it resembles a sheep, therefore, such a name!
– The name of this species is roxellana, and there is a story behind it. It is believed that they were called this way after the supposedly snub-nosed courtesan of Suleiman the Magnificent (a 16th century Sultan of the Ottoman Empire).
– They were called like this because of the resemblance of their mustache to that of German Emperor Wilhelm II.
– Patagonia Mara is the fourth largest rodent on our planet. There are several interesting facts about them. Females often put offsprings into creches for safety.
– Fluffy cows are looked after by people whose work is to wash, dry and use products to style these animals, so they look as fluffy as they do! It is necessary to maintain them daily, and it will take months of regular grooming until they get this lovely look of kids toys.
– If you see a creature which looks as if it’s trying to catch an alien radio signal from space, it’s most likely Markhor Goat. They can grow as long as 6 ft from head to tail!
– If you can’t decide if you want to have a dog or a raccoon as a pet, we have just the thing for you – raccoon dog! Despite having raccoon-like markings on their fur, they are not very closely related to the North American raccoon.
– Blue Footed Booby are to catch your eye if you ever visit the Galapagos Islands. They can look a bit clumsy and comical on land, but they are excellent at flying and swimming.
– Colugo has a large gliding membrane (like a flying squirrel), and they can glide for long distances between trees standing far apart.
– Even if the Poodle Moth may look as if it lives in Antarctica with all this fur, in fact, it comes from Venezuela, a tropical country. Its hairs don’t serve for heating.
Cloud Antelope! This species lives in the clouds (that’s why such a name)! Its bright blue fur is the reflection of cloudless blue skies in the area of its habitat. Its diet consists of sun rays and candies…

Today I’m reviewing The Prophecies Begin, the first arc of Warriors/Warrior Cats by Erin Hunter! By now there’s a LOT of Warriors books as ya’ll probably know by now. I’ve tackled some of the Super Editions before, even. I plan on eventually getting to all books minus the comics, but that’ll take me years, so please be patient xD
I finally got some of the new Lynnzl fursona expressions done! What do you guys think? Improvement? Or should I go back to the old ones? There’s still a few I have yet to lineart and color, but I at least had enough to quit posponing this Benemoth of a review. It’s one of the reasons why this video took so long to make xD I’ve also been incredibly busy lately, so yeah, that’s why this took so long. I plan on going back to smaller reviews for a while after this one, so hopefully there’ll be more content again!
Slim To None by Text Me Records / Jordan Blackmon (YouTube Audio Library)
All Lone Ones Episode 7
Very minor blood warning.
Original Air Date: May 22nd, 2015
WHY WEREN’T YOU AT ELF PRACTICE????111!!!11!
Lip sync issues and some jump cuts but I no longer care so please don’t complain about it, I’m not going to bother fixing it anyways.
So here we have the redo of episode 7, which is probably the most tedious episode because it’s the longest and to me feels the most painful. At least the old one did. There’s some stuff going on.
Stuff to look out for in this episode:
-Silkey once more seeming disoriented
-The “big reveal” of Rufus (yes, I changed him from black to red because I hated his old design).
-Abbie and Strike used to be friends
-Oney seems to be disoriented by Lynn having her shoulders high. What could that be???!!!

Hey, what’s up everyone, I’m Tracy. I’m 15, an only child. I’m not sure where to start… here goes. My family has a medical history of some weird disease. My aunt and grandma died a short time after noticing a black spot on their legs. My entire family have been terrified of black spots after their passing, myself included.
I learned to respect the feelings of others from my parents. My mom and dad are like super polite and never say anything out of the way to people. For example, some random guy broke down on the street and opened up his entire life to my parents. They stood there and listened to his blatantly pathetic story, and then my dad turned around and handed him a hundred dollar bill. My parents “good-will to men” mentality has helped my family build bonds with others. My parents also taught me to put others before myself and the difference between needs and wants. I want the newest iphone, but don’t necessarily need it, whereas, I need water, but never want to drink it. Make sense?
The best part of school life, was hanging out with my friends. I remember being crazy in love with this one guy named, Jeff. I couldn’t get the beautiful creature off my mind. A smile to die for. OMG. He was so hot. Jeff always seemed to be doing something for somebody else. I admired him for that. The only thing bad he had going for him was his snooty girlfriend Linda. I asked myself over and over, out of all the girls in the world, why her? I mean, yeah, she was pretty, sort of, but she was far from perfect. She was salty with everyone. I honestly felt like she was using Jeff for his car. Shiny black mustang, a true head turner. Linda wanted to be seen it. Nothing more or less. I wondered if Jeff really loved her for her, or maybe he was smitten by her superficial beauty. I never ended up telling Jeff about my feelings for him. There were times when he’d stroll by me in the corridor and I’d have to restrain myself from swiveling my head around to look at him. I was never very good at expressing my true feeling for anyone, especially Ms. Stevens, a large, stern looking woman of Greek ancestry.
Ms. Stevens was a good mother to her sons Sam and Luke, but she had a bad habit of not paying me for services rendered. I’d babysit for six hours and only get paid for five, sometimes even four measly hours. My parents taught me to respect my elders, and so, I never confronted Ms. Stevens about short changing me. On pay days, I’d bite my tongue and walk home royally pissed.
One evening, I’m Netflix and chilling when I notice a marble-sized black spot on my left leg. Yikes! I must have blacked out or something because for a few long seconds, I couldn’t think straight. I’m staring down at my leg and in the back of my mind are my aunt and grandma whose deaths are symbols of ugly black dots. I continued to stare at the black thingy on my leg and it appeared to be staring back at me with a mission, and then I began to wonder how it got there. No matter how hard I picked and poked at the thing, it wouldn’t budge, and now I’m scared to death.
The palms of my hands got all sweaty, I actually thought I was going to die. I switched on my laptop, heart pounding. I began to search google for any and everything related to black dots. As I skimmed over headlines, several words jumped out at me. LETHAL. DEATH. DISEASED. Unable to hold in my emotions any longer, I bursted out into tear. I cried the whole day believing in my heart that my life was going to end. I realized after a while that time is very important so I stopped crying and made a conscious decision to take care of a few things.
The very first thing I did was call my mom. I explained to mom that I was bored and that I was coming over to chill with the family. After arriving at my parents house, we jumped in my dad’s Honda and hit road. After arriving at the restaurant, I ordered my favorite, chili dog with fries. No sooner than I started to eat, the ugliest black dot began to plague my mind. I’m chewing and chewing, and then I start to regurgitate and I can taste vomit inside my mouth, nasty! I ended up having to excuse myself from the table. Last thing I wanted was to throw up all over my parents priceless steak dinner.

Cloudtail, Mothwing, and the StarClan Question – Analyzing Warrior Cats
Why don’t Cloudtail and Mothwing believe in StarClan? Will Cloudtail and Mothwing go to StarClan when they die? Those are the questions, I have the answers.

Analyzing Warrior Cats is a video series in which I review and analyze Erin Hunter’s young adult book series Warriors. I want to find out and teach others what these books do so well and how they can apply it to their own writing!
Squirrelflight: ANNOYING or AMAZING? | Warrior Cats: The New Prophecy
Squirrelflight is definitely one of the most interesting characters in the Warrior Cats series. From one view, her natural talent is amazing, but the other cats didn’t see it at first. She has to overcome the hate from her companions and prove her usefulness. From another view, it does not make sense that she is so strong and intelligent despite clearly being less experienced. It seems really annoying and unfair that she is more talented than warriors who have been training for much longer.
So, if she a good character? Well, to answer that, I’m going to have to explore both sides!
All of the cat drawings are mine, as well as territory drawings.
The song at the end was also created by me.
This was supposed to come out like 3 months ago whoops
This video was like a filler that ended up changing my animation/coloring methods and got me back in the groove of making videos since school totally wrecked my upload schedule. I hope to get a shorter video done before the 19th if possible this month.

Flo is a cow who lives on a beautiful farm near Millbrook, Ontario. She spends her days in a lush, green pasture that borders on a country road. The cows have access to a nice pond for drinking and for cooling off in. She shares this pasture with a herd of cows and some newborn calves. Flo delivered a calf herself but it was born on a slope between the pond and the fence. It slid down and under the fence, becoming trapped outside the field. It’s not clear how long the calf was lying there, but the fresh umbilical cord showed that it had been born that day. It was also dry, which suggested that it had been lying in the sun for a little while. The calf may have tried to get back to its mother but the electric fence made this impossible. Dave was passing by on the road when he saw the cows enjoying a dip in the pond to get out of the heat. He stopped to video tape the cows as they did so. He noticed a cow to his left that was acting agitated. Dave doesn’t know a lot about cows but he knew it was unusual for a female to scrape the dirt and make so much noise. He set his camera on the fence post and watched, confused by what was going on. He could see that her ear tag said “Flo”. He eventually noticed that she was looking through the fence and then back at him. She seemed a little frantic as she mooed and he walked closer with his camera to see what she was doing. It became obvious that she had been asking for help. Dave saw her newborn calf in the long grass but he wasn’t sure if her behavior had been a cry for help or a warning to stay away from her baby. The calf needed to get milk from the mother and he could also wander out on the road if something wasn’t done. There was no gate nearby and Dave didn’t want to try moving the calf far away from Flo. Dave decided that the best way to help was to lift the wires and pushh the calf under the fence. The calf seemed to tired to help and there was no way to avoid contact with the fence. Flo seemed to understand that her calf was being moved toward her, but Dave was very aware that only a flimsy fence would be between them if she became upset with what was happening. Dave was getting shocked and the calf was too. He hoped it would not cry out in pain before he could get the job done. Eventually, the calf was on the other side of the fence and reunited with his mom. The two immediately sniffed each other and began walking out into the pasture together. Dave spoke with the farmer and his wife, who did not realize that she had calved. They invited Dave to join them as they tagged the calf’s ear and treated the umbilical cord with iodine. They checked the calf and found that it was healthy and unharmed. Dave took his camera along and filmed the two as they mingled with the herd. The calf wandered up to Dave for a curious sniff, as did Flo, seemingly recognizing him. They both wandered off and Flo’s little calf was soon happily nursing as if nothing had happened. Although Dave was slow to catch on, Flo was obviously distressed and was aware that Dave could help her. She looked at him expectantly as she paced between him and her baby in a very clear attempt to communicate. We often underestimate an animal’s intelligence and capacity for emotion. Flo showed a healthy amount of both in this case. You can’t deny the love she felt for her newborn calf.
There can be no better or worse sight than your own reflection, but these vain animals seemed very keen to admire themselves.
Innovative French photographer Xavier Hubert-Brierre travelled to Gabon with his wife and set up a mirror in several locations in order to capture animals walking by.
The results are stunning, with one of the more amusing reactions being from two leopards.
One of them takes several looks at the mirror before it is attacked by a second leopard, who calls off the ambush when he too spots Xavier’s mirror.

The current Ebola outbreak in West Africa began in Guinea in December 2013. From there, it quickly spread to Liberia and Sierra Leone. Cases also appeared in Senegal and Nigeria, and there was another outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Today, Liberia is at the center of the epidemic, with more than 3,000 cases of infection. About half of them have been fatal.
As President Barack Obama announced that he would be sending American military personnel to West Africa to help combat the epidemic, VICE News traveled to Monrovia to spend time with those on the front lines of the outbreak.

We Went to Rescue Newborn Puppies But Never Expected This | Howl Of A Dog Rescue
Howl Of A Dog Rescue was contacted to save newborn orphan puppies found abandoned on side of a country road. Baby animals crying, apparently in distress, coming from the tall grass on side of a country road were heard by a local who alerted Howl Of A Dog. At first, we thought that maybe some wild animal or stray dog or cat had given birth there. We didn’t expect to find newly born puppies abandoned in such a cruel way. It turned out to be one of the most heartbreaking cases of animal cruelty we have dealt with: there were several puppies dumped in a bag and simply left there to die. It was a rainy and very chilly autumn morning and their bodies were so cold that it was a miracle their little hearts were still beating
Two of the puppies were out, near the bag, we placed them safe aside and hurried to check the content of the bag and take out the ones that were still inside.
The puppies were newly born and still had their umbilical cords attached.
We inspected the area carefully to make sure there were no other puppies, and found another one trapped in the grass.
Sadly, things have taken an even more tragic turn. Four of the rescued puppies passed away shortly after we arrived at the center.
But the three surviving puppies – Lizzie, Taz and Bernie – have made an amazing recovery, growing into healthy playful pups. They are 5 months old, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
They need now their own loving homes, if you’d like to make any of them a part of your family, please visit https://www.HowlOfADog.org or send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org . The puppies are in our care in Romania, but for anyone abroad who would like to adopt them please note that we also facilitate international adoptions (www.howlofadog.org/adoption-procedure/).
Update: one of the puppies, Bernie, was adopted, here is him at his forever home: https://youtu.be/e4AgmrJFzFM
Abandon is animal cruelty! Don’t throw life away. Spay & Neuter your pets.
There are certain facts about kittens that will shock you in today’s top 10 list. Everyone loves kittens, but does everyone know about their quirks and special traits. In this video we count down the top 10 things you don’t about kittens. Kittens have a unique journey to adulthood so stick around and find out!
10. Natural Instinct – 0:09
Kittens are born with the natural instinct to chase catch and eat other animals. Humans on the other hand are taught to eat animals and have no desire to as a child. If you put a baby rabbit and an apple beside a human baby, the child will eat the apple(or try to) and pet the rabbit but if you replace the human baby with a kitten the exact opposite will happen.
9. Eye Color – 0:31
All kittens are born with blue eyes, their eyes will change color to their permanent color when they are around 6 – 7 weeks old. Kittens eye color is genetically related to the color of their coat. So if you think the brown kitten will probably have brown eyes or the white kitten will have blue eyes they you are probably right!
8. Purring – 0:50
Kittens start to purr between 2 days and one-week old. The mother cat purrs as soon as kittens are born as a way for them to find their way to her. Scientists still don’t know exactly how cats purr, but it is known that purring evokes a feeling of being content and happy like a human smiling. A cat in pain cat do a different lower tone purr to signal something is wrong. As a kitten gets older it’ll purr in two to three resonant notes.
7. Pulse – 1:13
A kitten’s pulse is 240 beats per minute but slows down to 160 beats per minute as they get older.
6. Fluffy Fur – 1:23
Kittens fur is more fluffy when they are young. As kittens grow up their fur will become more matte, this is even the case for “fluffy” cats. They will be just less “fully”.
5. Feral or Not? – 1:33
Kittens will most likely be feral if not around humans by 8 weeks old. A kitten’s personality and comfort is highly dependent on their surroundings of the first 8 weeks of life, feral cats can learn to trust humans but usually it is only a select 1 or 2 humans and not all humans.
4. Kneading – 1:51
Kittens knead their mother cat to stimulate milk production. Adult cats tend to do this usually on very soft surfaces as well, although it is not completely understood why, it is believed this is just to invoke the feeling of security that the cat once had as a kitten with his or her mother.
3. Born Blind – 2:07
Kittens are born blind with their eyes shut. They use just their sense of smell along with the vibration of the purring mother to find a nipple to drink from. Only at 1 – 2 weeks old do a kitten’s eyes open for the first time. The eyes open over 2-3 days starting with the inner corner working outwards.
2. Personality – 2:25
Many of a kitten’s traits and personality quirks they’ll have as an adult are very present even right as they are born. Often kittens that are especially winy and loud right at birth are so as an adult.
1. Training – 2:37
The best time to train a kitten is between 4 – 8 weeks old. This time in a kitten’s life is when they develop the bulk of their learned traits and personality. Kittens are born with a general list of things they like and do such as having loud voice, being adventurous or scaredy cat, always climbing things, biting etc but you can actually train a cat to fit your life just as you want if you do so when they are very young. Whether you want your kitten to sleep on the bed as an adult, play hide and seek, train tricks, train not to bite cords and cables or climb on the counter top this is all best trained at 4-8 weeks when they are most impressionable, afterwards most cats become stubborn to their ways and wish to learn nothing more.

Cats are one of the most popular pets in the world. And they can be just as playful, cuddly, and friendly as their canine counterparts! Are you a cat person? Are you considering getting one? Well, you probably should leave the following 10 dangerous cat breeds off your list of potential candidates.
Pallas’s cat 0:58
The Savannah 2:14
The Chausie 3:40
The Jungle cat 443
The Abyssinian 5:43
The British Shorthair 6:52
The Maine Coon 7:51
The Mekong Bobtail 8:48
The Siamese 9:43
The Bobcat 10:55
– The distinct trait of Pallas’s cat is its un-cat-like round eyes and pupils. The important question is: can you tame this kitty? The short answer is: no.
– The Savannah is a crossbreed between the African Serval and your common domestic house cat. It has a long neck, body, and legs with dark-brown to black spots all over its coat.
– Also known as the “Nile cat,” this breed is a cross between an Abyssinian domestic cat and a Jungle cat. Its wild ancestor, the Jungle cat, is the very one that the ancient Egyptians worshipped!
– The Jungle cat’s scientific name is Felis chaus, but it also goes by the “Swamp Lynx,” Swamp Cat,” or “Reed Cat.” While the name would have you think otherwise, this cat does not live in the jungle but rather in wetlands with dense vegetation.
– The Aby is one of the oldest domesticated cat breeds. Believed to originate from Abyssinia, which is modern-day Ethiopia, most experts nowadays site Egypt as the breed’s place of origin.
– If you’re familiar with the Cheshire Cat in Alice in Wonderland or Puss in Boots in Shrek, then you’ve definitely met some of the on-screen representations of the British Shorthair. This breed can weigh up to 20 pounds and lives up to about 20 years.
– The Maine Coon is a large breed that can weigh up to 20 pounds or more. It also received celebrity status as “Mrs. Norris” in the Harry Potter movies.
– The Mekong Bobtail can weigh up to 10 pounds and has a lifespan of up to 18 years. And, of course, we can’t forget to mention this breed’s most unique feature: its tiny little bobbed tail!
– The Siamese is the most talkative and opinionated cat out there! It demands to be entertained and showered with attention 24/7. It can be pretty cautious around strangers and outright naughty when left alone at home!
– Known as Lnyx rufus in the scientific community, the Bobcat is a nocturnal animal with a natural habitat in the wild. Yet some people are brave (or silly) enough to make them pets.
If Your Cat Acts Strangely, Don’t Worry. Here’s the Explanation!
“Cats live for themselves,” – Rudyard Kipling claimed. They aren’t inclined to become attached to others. Unlike dogs, which wag their tails and run up to you for a hug, cats are much more reserved. Their owners can only guess what their furry companions are feeling.
It’s time to decode all the hidden signals cats give out. If you think your pet acts strangely, don’t worry! Perhaps they just show you their love! So cross your fingers and watch the video until the end. There you will find a useful bonus – how to understand your cat’s emotions by its tail! Here we go: your cat truly loves you if…
If a cat purrs so much, you can’t sleep 0:49
If a cat follows you everywhere 1:26
If a cat nibbles your skin 1:51
If a cat sticks close to you and winds herself around your legs 2:19
If a cat bends the tip of her tail when she looks at you 2:44
If a cat has a staring contest with you 3:11
If a cat isn’t afraid to show his belly 3:46
If a cat brings you gifts 4:16
If a cat comes up close and face-to-face with you 4:45
If a cat gives you a massage 5:17

– Purring is the way a cat expresses love! According to scientists, purring can also be a sign of worry or discomfort, but if your cat is purring by your side, you can be sure that they are expressing their attachment to you!
– If your cat is following you at your heels, it means she likes your company.
– If provoked when you play with him, the cat might start to chew lightly on the “opponent’s” hand. But this is just playful fighting.
– Cats are known for being possessive and jealous, but this is also how they demonstrate tenderness and attention.
– When your cat extends her tail straight up and bends only the tip, this is a sign of curiosity and friendly attitude towards you. Another explanation is that the cat feels particularly playful and wants to have some fun with you.
– Cats are a little like many men: if they can’t take their eyes off of you, it means they love you!
– Cats do this when they feel comfortable, content and happy. It may be as well an invitation to rub their tummy – a great gift to you in any cat’s opinion.
– Some people wake up to the variety of cat toys spread around on their bed. Others find “gifts” from cats, such as paper balls or sweets covers, in their boots. A few lucky ones get once-alive presents: mice, insects or baby-snakes.
– If your cat nestles his head against you, juts his forehead into your forehead, neck or leg, it’s a good sign! He is just showing that he considers you someone close to him.
– So why does your cat knead you? There might be two reasons: she is trying to find the most comfortable place to fall asleep or at least to arrange it. Or she is trying to tell you how happy she is to be with you and in this case the kneading is a sign of affection.
Tail straight up: your cat feels friendly, happy and content.
– Tail raised back at an angle: your cat feels unsure but not aggressive.
– Tail straight up, quivering: it is an excellent sign – your cat is happy to see you.
– Thrashing tail: it can mean several strong emotions, from strong interest and ecstasy from being petted to anger and aggression. You need to watch other body signs.
– Bristled tail: your cat is scared, sees some threat and is in defensively aggressive posture.
– Tail entwined around another cat, object or your hand; it’s an analogy of people’s hug – cats show their friendship this way!
