CLEVELAND — An emaciated dog that was chained to a fence near Edgewater Park and left for dead is making a miraculous recovery.
People are calling her “Miracle” and everyone says the dog’s a fighter for overcoming the odds.
“She’s as close as you can get to starving to death and turned around. It is a miracle that she’s turned around like she has,” said Dr. Bob Litovitz, a vet at the Gateway Animal Clinic.

In just two days, the emaciated lab-pit bull mix has gained four pounds and is feeling a lot better – so good that Doctor Bob said she’s gotten better faster than any dog he’s seen in that shape before.
Now Miracle’s well enough to leave the doggie hospital and hopefully find a new home.
Vanessa Petrosky is Miracle’s new foster mom.
Petrosky has fostered hundreds of dogs at her home in Brook Park and she says she cannot believe how some people treat their pets.
“Common sense. You get a dog, if you can’t afford to have a dog, then don’t get a dog. It’s a lot like having a kid. It’s responsibility people, it’s not that hard and then when you don’t want him you discard ’em and tie them to a fence. It doesn’t even make any sense,” Petrosky said.
Petrosky and Miracle were only together for about an hour and it was already evident they were bonding.
Miracle was constantly giving Petrosky kisses and her tail wouldn’t stop wagging.
If you are interested in adopting Miracle, you’ll have to wait about two months until she’s completely healthy.

I’ve always loved dog kisses
This is from about 10 years ago. I was at a friends house and I let his dog lick me. His mom wasn’t so happy though. What a bitch (no pun intended). After that point, I only got kisses from that dog when she wasn’t around. Also, I went by Justin then (which is my middle name) which I no longer go by, as most of you now know me as TJ

Emotional neglected dog rescue and transformation – SAFE Perth
In October 2016, a beautiful 6 month old pub was found severely malnutritioned and in a terrible state.. She was taken to the Broome Pound. We believe she had been suffering like this most of her short life.
She would have only known pain and neglect.
SAFE Perth flew her to Perth, picked her up and took her immediately to a vet and her new carer.
I was there to document this.
From the moment Kibby was picked up from the airport, I believe that she knew her life had been changed. Her little tail wagged and we still have no idea how she trusted us.. but she did.
This video documents the beginning stages of her rescue and transformation. We will keep everyone updated on her progress.
SAFE Perth are a non-profit organisation. They take on a rescue case like this knowing full well that the vet bills will be out of this world.. and they have been for young Kibby.
Any help we can get to take care of her, not to mention any help to allow us to continue rescues so similar to this one, will go further than you can imagine.
Please consider donating or supporting in a simple ‘share’… The ripple effect can do extraordinary things to a small rescue group such as SAFE who are made up of volunteers.

We Went to Rescue Newborn Puppies But Never Expected to Find This
Howl Of A Dog rescued newborn puppies found abandoned on side of a road – www.HowlOfADog.org Baby animals crying, apparently in distress, coming from the tall grass on side of a country road were heard by a local who contacted Howl Of A Dog. At first, we thought that maybe some wild animal or stray dog or cat had given birth there. But it turned out to be one of the most heartbreaking cases of animal cruelty we have dealt with: there were several puppies dumped in a bag and simply left there to die. It was a rainy and very chilly autumn morning and their bodies were so cold that it was a miracle their little hearts were still beating
Two of the puppies were out, near the bag, we placed them safe aside and hurried to check the content of the bag and take out the ones that were still inside.
The puppies were newly born and still had their umbilical cords attached.
We inspected the area carefully to make sure there were no other puppies, and found another one trapped in the grass.
Sadly, things have taken an even more tragic turn. Four of the rescued puppies passed away shortly after we arrived at the center.
But the three surviving puppies – Lizzie, Taz and Bernie – have made an amazing recovery, growing into healthy playful pups. They are 5 months old, fully vaccinated and microchipped.
They need now their own loving homes, if you’d like to make any of them a part of your family, please visit www.HowlOfADog.org or send us an email on firstname.lastname@example.org . The puppies are in our care in Romania, but for anyone abroad who would like to adopt them please note that we also facilitate international adoptions (http://www.howlofadog.org/adoption-procedure/).
Abandon is animal cruelty! Don’t throw life away. Spay & Neuter your pets.
